Tour Itinerary
DAY 1 (October 04, 2025)
Depart USA/Home country
DAY 2 (Oct 5): Arrival in Dubrovnik
Arrive in Dubrovnik airport and transfer to the hotel. The photography adventure begins with a
chance to explore the old city and an evening photography shoot before we gather for our welcome
dinner.
DAY 3 (Oct 6): Dubrovnik
Spend the day camera in hand discovering all that Dubrovnik has to offer. Explore the old city with its
narrow streets, street performers, diverse architecture, and well-preserved medieval walls. You’ll
have some free time to do some sightseeing in the afternoon before meeting up for a late afternoon
shoot. The medieval walls offer spectacular views of the city, the sea, islands and mountains and we’ll
use this vantage point to make the most of the light for some creative long exposures and blue hour
shots.
DAY 4 (Oct 7): Dubrovnik to Pelješac peninsula
Early risers can capture the sunrise over the Adriatic coast from a city vantage point before we depart
for the Pelješac Peninsula. A scenic coastal drive brings us to Orebič town, which overlooks Korčula
island. This will be our base for the next two nights. We will spend our evening photographing the old
monastery with scenic views over the Adriatic coast and islands.
DAY 5 (Oct 8): Pelješac and Korčula
Today, we’ll photograph some of the most scenic places on the peninsula, including traditional
Croatian villages. The Pelješac Peninsula is one of the prime wine regions of Croatia. California’s
Zinfandel originates from here, and we have an opportunity to taste some of the best wines of the
region. We’ll have some free time to explore, sunbathe, and swim before meeting in the afternoon to
visit the nearby Korčula town. The famous explorer Marco Polo was supposedly born here. The town
is a gem for photography, and we will spend our time here until blue hour.
DAY 6 (Oct 9): Split and Plitvice Lakes NP
After breakfast and another chance to capture early light in the area, we leave Pelješac behind and
drive north. We will stop at Ston town to photograph the traditional salt flats and walk up the old city
walls for scenic views. We will drive over the newly built Pelješac Bridge, which is an architectural
gem and a nice subject for photography. We will arrive at Plitvice Lakes National Park in time for a late
afternoon or sunset photoshoot.
DAY 7 (Oct 10): Plitvice Lakes NP
We’ll have a full day to photograph the lakes, waterfalls, and caves in this incredible UNESCO world
heritage site. Here you’ll have the opportunity to try different photography techniques using tripods
and long exposures as well as work on composition. Enjoy free time exploring the lakes alone before
meeting late afternoon to make the most of the play of golden light and reflections in the water.
DAY 8 (Oct 11): Plitvice Lakes to Soca River Valley
After an optional sunrise shoot at the lakes and a hearty breakfast, we travel onwards to Slovenia.
Our first destination is Soca River Valley where we arrive in the late afternoon. Along the way we will
make multiple photo stops to capture the incredibly scenic views from village to village, as we drive
the curvy roads accompanied by the unique Soca River. This emerald beauty has true alpine nature
and amazing color given by limestone rocks.
DAY 9 (Oct 12): Soca River Valley
Capture the incredible emerald waters of the Soca and discover gorges and waterfalls as we hike
along the riverbanks. As well as capturing stunning landscapes will also take the opportunity to
photograph the historical World War I remnants along the trail. Our route will take us on an exciting
tour of some of the highest mountains in Slovenia offering incredible views across Slovenia and into
Italy.
DAY 10 (Oct 13): Soca River Valley and Triglav National Park to Lake Bled
Scenic drive over Vršič mountain pass to Lake Bled. Along the way we will make multiple photo stops
to capture mountain views, while the descent into the Triglav National Park reveals misty forests and
hidden lakes. Along the way, rustic wooden bridges and traditional hayracks add a touch of local
heritage to your compositions. Our destination, fairytale Lake Bled with its island, is one of the most
popular photographic motives in Slovenia. Evening photography at the lake and its island.
DAY 11-12 (Oct 14-15): Lakes Bled and Bohinj
We’ll take 2 full days to explore the beautiful Gorenjska region starting with a sunrise shoot at the
shore of Lake Bled. From Bled Castle perched up on the cliff top we’ll capture superb panoramas of
the lake with its island and Baroque church. Visit the spectacular Vintgar Gorge the perfect location to
experiment with capturing fast-flowing water and try out some long exposures. Our second glacial
lake is Bohinj and has a very different feel. Here we’ll take time to hone our composition skills at the
lake shore and capture creative reflections. A short drive takes us to the surrounding picturesque
villages where you’ll have the opportunity to capture traditional agricultural architecture including
the landmark hayracks of Slovenia, as well as scenes of rural village life. Cap off the evenings with a
sunset shoot at the lakeside.
DAY 13 (Oct 16): Lake Bled to Ljubljana
Morning photography and breakfast at Lake Bled. Leaving Bled, our route passes rolling green hills,
traditional villages and farmlands and offers glimpses of Karavanke Mountains in the distance.
Approaching Ljubljana, the countryside transitions into a lively urban setting where historic
architecture and the Ljubljanica river create dynamic cityscape shots. We arrive in Ljubljana in the
afternoon, in time for a photo shoot in the old medieval part of the city.
DAY 14 (Oct 17): Ljubljana and around
If weather is favorable, we make a morning trip out of Ljubljana to capture hilltop churches at
sunrise. Later we take a walking tour around Ljubljana’s old town and photograph along the way. Free
time in the afternoon and a farewell dinner at one of Ljubljana’s best restaurants.
DAY 15 (Oct 18): Departure from Slovenia
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Ljubljana airport/train station for transfer to Zagreb. Spend the night in Zagreb.
DAY 16 (October 19, 2025)
