Day 1

Depart from US gateway city or your home city on the flight to Milan, Italy.

Day 2

Arrive in Milan Malpensa Airport early in the morning. We’ll transfer to our train and head to Lake Garda. Lake Garda is about 31 miles long and ranges from ½ to 10 miles wide. It also offers a varied terrain depending on which tip you are at – on the south is flat and the north is mountainous. This is known as the cleanest of all lakes in the Italian Lake District. Because of the terrain around the lake the weather can range from crystal-line calm fjord to a stormy seascape. The weather can add color, depth, and drama to our imagery. This is where we begin our Italian Lake District photography adventure. Overnight in town on Lake Garda.

Days 3 & 4

Our photography begins as we pursue classic images along the coast of Lake Garda and all she and her villages and towns have to offer. Over these 2 days we’ll also shoot Lazise Harbor, Bardolino Harbor, Torri Del Bennaco Harbor, Limone, Rocca Scaligero Castle – in the lakeside village of Sirmione which also offers medieval arches, lush gardens, and most importantly stunning lake views; Riva Del Garda – which offers jagged cliffs and miles of beach line which are easy to incorporate into your imagery, and many more sights as we work and chase the light along the lake. Overnight in towns on Lake Garda.

Days 5 & 6

Early on day 5 we’ll head for Lake Como and the fabulous palatial villas, rose-laden belvederes, fruit trees, olive groves, vineyards, and majestic Alpine vistas await us and our images on and around Lake Como. We’ll visit and photograph Bellagio – often called “the prettiest town in Europe”; Tremezzo – a place that only the lucky get to visit once, Varenna – which offers a spellbinding garden at The Villa Monastero and awesome light of the town and lake; the small commune of Moltrasio which offers great imagery of the town and lake; Como and its neighbor Cernobbio which offers Villa d’Este resort and all that is Cernobbio. Overnight in towns along the lake.

Day 7

After a final hearty breakfast, transfer to Milan Malpensa Airport for departure flight home.
